Dear Patriot Families,

I am excited that you have made the choice to enroll your child at Pinecrest High School. Pinecrest is a wonderful place to learn and teach! I am responsible for ensuring that your child learns at a high level, has a safe learning environment, is exposed to new & exciting experiences, exhibits school appropriate behavior, and develops positive relationships with students & adults.

Our instructional program is aligned to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. The curriculum and resources we use to teach your child are vetted and approved by Moore County Schools. Pinecrest offers enrichment opportunities for students which include after school activities such as academic, service, and social organizations, a robust arts program, and competitive athletic teams. We want each child to reach their full potential and will work with parents to support our students as they grow and develop.

Personally, I have been a school administrator since 2012.  Prior to beginning here at Pinecrest, I was Principal at two schools, West Pine Elementary Schools from 2024-2025 and  Clement Elementary School in Sampson County from 2019-2024.  I have worked in high schools for 19 of my 27 years in education.  I started my teaching career as a high school teacher in 1998.  I have served as an elementary assistant principal and a high school assistant principal/athletic director prior to becoming a principal.  I have one daughter who is in 6th grade and my wife is a high school math teacher. 

Thank you for enrolling your child in our school.  I value the partnership between the home, school, and community.  I call it the “Triangle of Success”.  I hope to develop positive relationships with each and every one of you!  I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your child.
